We are an investment club here at Vassar College that has a focus on sustainability and diversity and manages over $50,000 in capital. Our emphasis is on transparency and our mission is to prove that sustainable investment can yield the same returns, if not higher, than regular investment.

When investing, our aim is to focus on three elements of sustainability: the environment, people, and integrity. We try to find companies that are carbon neutral, have wage parity and equality within their institution, and practice integrity in their companies’ mission.
In the Bull Pen
Our meetings are focused on investment research, analytical discussions, internal stock pitch presentations, and portfolio management. Groups will research specific companies and stocks and present their pitches to the club. At the beginning of each quarter, we go over the sustainability, wage parity, and overall impact of our potential investments and make choices focusing on the latter as well as profitability. Moreover, we host networking and educational events with several firms throughout the year for members and students who are interested in learning more and connecting with the world of Finance.
You Can Join Us
Here at VSF we understand that starting an investment club is not always feasible for other colleges, due to the large starting capital required. Therefore, we welcome driven and passionate students from schools other than Vassar to join us and apply. Some VSF members go to other schools in the northeast such as Macaulay Honors at Hunter College, Penn State, and Boston College.
